- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream butter with both sugars until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in flour mixture until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake 9-11 minutes until golden brown around edges.
- Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
